Step-by-step

Four steps from portfolio to payment

No intermediaries. No commission splits. Just a clean, auditable workflow: your brand, your consumers, your bank account.

01Import

Upload a CSV. We map, validate, and flag.

Upload a CSV of delinquent or charged-off accounts. Debt Digest maps your columns, validates the data, and automatically flags SOL-sensitive accounts so your team knows what needs attention before a single outreach fires.

1,000 accounts per batch SOL flagged on import FDCPA §809(a) notice auto-generated
02Configure

Set tiered offers. Or override account-by-account.

Set offer tiers by days-past-due bucket, or apply manual offers account-by-account. Every offer is logged with a timestamp, offer amount, expiry, and the user who created it. Full audit trail, automatically.

DPD-bucket tiers Per-account override Append-only audit log
03Resolve

Consumers self-resolve in your branded portal.

Each consumer receives a unique portal link; no login required for the basic flow. They see their balance, your current offer, and a plain-language explanation of their options. They can accept, propose a payment plan, or flag a dispute, all without picking up the phone.

Your brand, not ours Dispute pause auto-enforced Up to 36-month plans
04Funds flow

Funds go directly from the consumer to you.

Accepted settlements flow directly to your institution's bank account. No middleman holding funds. No commission split. No re-aging risk. Debt Digest bills a flat per-active-account subscription, never a percentage of what you recover.

Consumer → creditor → DD Pilot: $0/account/mo Standard: $2.50/account/mo, $1,500 floor
Why the setup is clean

You stay the lender. Debt Digest is the software. Nothing more.

The platform never receives your customers' payments and never owns the account. Your institution stays the party of record and the only voice your customer hears, on every account, every step. See how the compliance works.

Built for every stakeholder

Why it works across your organization

Recovery isn't just a collections problem. Debt Digest is designed for the people who own compliance, finance, and customer relationships.

For your compliance team

Every communication logged and FDCPA-aligned

Every outreach, offer, response, and payment is timestamped, logged in an append-only audit trail, and structured around FDCPA and Reg F requirements. You stay the party of record, so the trail stays clean and stays yours. Your examiner gets a clear report.

For your finance team

Pilot: $0/account/month, no platform fee, no contingency

You pay nothing up front during the 90-day pilot: no platform fee, no contingency, no percentage of recovery. Post-pilot: $2.50 per active account per month, $1,500/month floor. Model your portfolio's math with us before you commit.

For your consumers

Familiar brand. Clear options. No harassment.

Consumers see your institution's name, not a stranger's, and are offered real options in plain English. No threatening letters. No collector callbacks. Most people who default want to pay; they just need a fair, fear-free path. Debt Digest builds that path. Goodwill preserved.

Common questions

Questions we hear every time

If yours isn't here, tell us on the pilot call. We'll get it answered before you sign anything.

No, for recovering your own accounts. You are working your own accounts, on your own brand, in your own portal, and you stay the party of record throughout. Debt Digest is the software behind it, never a separate collector. See how the compliance works.

Consult your counsel for your institution's specific situation and state-by-state requirements.

A cure is when an account returns to 0 DPD and stays current for 60+ days. We benchmark your cure rate against your own 12-month history on the same DPD bucket, or a 10% industry default if you don't have it, so you can see the lift Debt Digest drives. It doesn't change your bill: pricing is a flat per-active-account subscription, with no percentage of cures or recovery.

They stay in your Debt Digest portfolio. You can adjust offer tiers, extend timelines, enroll accounts in payment plans, or export them for agency placement later. Nothing falls off a cliff; you remain in control of every account's lifecycle throughout. We never hand them off, never resell, never move them without your written instruction.

Most creditors go live within ~5 business days. We handle the setup: column mapping, offer configuration, brand kit (logo + colors + portal subdomain), and initial compliance review. Your team's time investment before go-live is typically under two hours.

Your customers pay your institution directly; Debt Digest never touches their funds, which is part of how you stay the party of record. Debt Digest invoices your institution separately and quarterly on a per-active-account subscription. Pilot: no platform fee. Post-pilot: $2.50 per active account per month, $1,500/month floor. No contingency, no percentage of recovery.

SSO and SCIM are on the roadmap, not yet live. Today, the creditor dashboard uses role-based auth with JWT (4-hour expiry) and per-IP rate limiting. SAML/OIDC SSO and SCIM provisioning are planned for the post-pilot enterprise tier; we'll surface the timeline at /trust when ready.

Send us a redacted snapshot of your 30–115 DPD bucket. We'll model your cure-rate lift, pilot economics, and 90-day rollout plan at no cost, no obligation.
